New Albany Winds Membership
Membership in the Band shall be voluntary and without audition. Members should be high school graduates. High school students who are current members of their school band may be accepted at the discretion of the Conductor/Music Director. Students must be nominated by their band director.
Attendance at all rehearsals and concerts is encouraged.
Members shall take full responsibility for the care of the music assigned to them, and shall arrange that it be available at a rehearsal or concert when the member cannot attend.
Members shall pay annual membership dues, as established by the Board.
The Conductor/Music Director may, for the purposes of sound balance, limit the size of any section, declining to accept additional members until a vacancy occurs.
Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm in the New Albany High School Band Room. Anyone with at least four years of playing experience is welcome to join in. Please let us know if you plan to play with us so we can have enough seats available. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to come try us out, even if you feel that your skills are rusty.
How to join
Show up and play with us. If you want to join us, ask for a board member and they will get your contact information and add you to our roster. Adult members currently contribute $50/year and student members $30/year to the non-profit to assist us in running the program.
